Quote of the Day: Ignoring the Vaccinated is “Grossly Negligent”

“Many decision makers assume that the vaccinated can be excluded as a source of transmission. It appears to be grossly negligent to ignore the vaccinated population as a possible and relevant source of transmission when deciding about public health control measures.

- The epidemiological relevance of the COVID-19-vaccinated population is increasing“, Günter Kampf, University Medicine Greifswald, Institute for Hygiene and Environmental Medicine, Greifswald, Germany, as published in The Lancet, Volume 11, 100272, December 01, 2021

Günter Kampf points out in his letter that while it was expected the transmission rate of COVID-19 would decrease as more people were vaccinated the actual science indicates the rate of COVID-19 transmission is essentially the same whether a group of people are fully vaccinated or not. Read his very short letter for the full details.
