gaslighting – (noun) : “psychological manipulation of a person usually over an extended period of time that causes the victim to question the validity of their own thoughts, perception of reality, or memories and typically leads to confusion, loss of confidence and self-esteem, uncertainty of one’s emotional or mental stability, and a dependency on the perpetrator.” – The Merriam Webster Dictionary
Unless one’s been living in a basement eating two scoops of chocolate chip ice cream they know President Trump and Israel are focused on seriously undermining and preferably destroying the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ability to export terrorism, build a nuclear weapon, and causing “Death to America!” and “Death to Israel!” – something Washington politicians haven’t addressed in 47 years (the 47th President acting after 47 years? Talk about coincidences… but, I digress
).
Meanwhile, the Democrats, never ones to let a crisis go to waste (or, invent one if necessary), and their Media, have now added Chicken Little warnings of imminent skyrocketing gas prices to their chorus of complaints and critiques on Trump’s actions to undo the Democrats’ failed Middle East Foreign Policy.
Check out just some of the Media’s gloom-and-doom headlines:

Democrats have seized on this to reinforce and amplify their latest attack on the Trump Administration: “Affordability”:
“Trump should release oil from the SPR now to stabilize markets, bring prices down, and stop the price shock that American families are already feeling thanks to his reckless war.”
- Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Senate Democratic Leader
“Americans are demanding help with the cost-of-living crisis, but President Trump would rather start another war, potentially driving up energy prices, than listen to them”
- Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), top Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee
“Americans don’t want another war, let alone another drawn-out, costly war — they want lower costs at home and no more distractions.”
- Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM), top Democrat on the Energy & Natural Resources Committee
“…prices at the pump are soaring and working families are being crushed by high prices at the grocery store.”
- Ken Martin, Chairman of the DNC
I wonder if many of those Democrats and news reporters remember back when thanks to Joe Biden’s “Green Energy” policies consumer prices actually skyrocketed so high that Joe emptied out 50% of America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve just to prevent gasoline prices from rising even higher.
I know Dr. Peter St. Onge, posting on X.com, sure does, and provided this helpful perspective:

However, his chart, while accurate, doesn’t quite illustrate the full impact of Biden’s Fossil Fuel Follies. Here’s one comparing Trump to Joe Biden, with a little more context:

A similar trend is seen for the price for Brent Crude Oil – a low-sulfur, light crude oil that’s easy to refine into gasoline and thus highly desirable:
Of course, President Trump has handling this gaslighting with his usual 4-Dimensional Chess strategy:
| 9 March: | “Oil prices fall 25% after soaring to 4-year highs as Trump says war is ‘very complete’“ |
