The Democrats Won…and the Future won’t be Fun

(RIP America, killed by Democracy)Nearly all the results of the 2026 Midterm Elections are in, and the Democrat Party – the Party of Transgenderism, Abortion, Illegal Aliens, Islam, and Socialism – won control of both the US House and Senate.

On the bright side, Democrats won’t control Congress until January 3rd, 2027, so President Trump still has 59 days to get as much of his agenda done as possible (including that ballroom above the formerly Top Secret Military installation next to the White House). Assuming by some miracle the Republicans in Congress finally cooperate with him (unlikely).

Unfortunately, when it comes to the government, once the Democrats take power they’ll work to take the “Fun” out of “Functional” and instead transform it to “unctional“. They’ll file endless articles of Impeachment against President Trump, introduce or advance bills to control prices and profits of large corporations, perhaps nationalize SpaceX, expand the Welfare State, use the 2028 Budget to defund ICE, border security, Israel, the Military, and more, and continue to delay the approval of Trump appointees in the Senate

Did You Know?
Under President Trump, of the 1,300 positions a president can appoint as head of the Executive Branch only 466 received Senate approval, while 110 nominees are waiting approval and 249 positions lack a nominee.

It’s the highest number of vacancies
since Republican President Ronald Reagan in the 1980′s.

Fortunately, Democrats will be for the most part wasting their time: While they can impeach Trump (and, even a ham sandwich) they can’t convict him as they don’t control 2/3rds of the Senate, and can’t override any bill President Trump vetoes as they don’t have a veto-proof majority in Congress. They’ll be nattering nabobs of negativism about all things Trump, basically bloviating tales “told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing“.

And, other than President Trump issuing Executive Orders and preemptive pardons, government will grind to a halt.

So, as we wait for government to reach this state on January 3rd, 2027, and Christmas approaching faster than most people think, let’s review the

Democrat Party’s Wish List of Goals:

It’s perhaps fitting that back in 1787, when America’s Founding Fathers were seeking approval of the Constitution of the United States, James Madison wrote a letter “To the People of the State of New-York” where he pointed out the dangers of a pure Democracy: Ironically, the same State whose mayor in its’ largest city is attempting to install Democratic Socialism:

“…it may be concluded that a pure democracy, by which I mean a society consisting of a small number of citizens, who assemble and administer the government in person, can admit of no cure for the mischiefs of faction. A common passion or interest will, in almost every case, be felt by a majority of the whole; a communication and concert result from the form of government itself; and there is nothing to check the inducements to sacrifice the weaker party or an obnoxious individual. Hence it is that such democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths. Theoretic politicians, who have patronized this species of government, have erroneously supposed that by reducing mankind to a perfect equality in their political rights, they would, at the same time, be perfectly equalized and assimilated in their possessions, their opinions, and their passions.
- James Madison, The Federalist No. 10, November 22, 1787

“Toute nation a le gouvernement qu’elle merite.”
(“Every country has the government it deserves.”)
– Joseph de Maistre, French diplomat & writer (1753-1821)
letter of 13 Aug. 1811

Congratulations, majority of voters, you’ve got the Government you deserve. Don’t let Buyer’s Remorse set in too quickly.

Thanks for Reading!
