Vintage Propaganda for Today’s Truths (No. 22)

Propaganda can be very effective when trying to instruct and motivate a population to achieve your goals. Propaganda as art typically caricatures an opponent in a simple, evil manner, exaggerating their features and focusing on a potential danger they pose if not defeated, while written or spoken propaganda casts everything the opponent does in a negative, threatening light. Those working to stop the opponent are portrayed as patriotic, hard-working and heroic, motivated to sacrifice and work until the opponent is defeated.

Propaganda has always been with us and continues today, whether subtly included in Advertising and Marketing, revealed as electronic Censorship by Government and Social Media, or incorporated into memes, text messages, and “News” by the Liberal Press and anyone trying to advance an agenda.

And I thought: What if World War II and Cold War Propaganda posters were reimagined for today’s topics? What would they look like?

Strength Through JOY!

Kamala's "JOY!" is "Strength Through Work"?!?

After Democrats realized they’d probably lose the 2024 Presidential Election with Joe Biden – a man whose “faulty memory” and “diminished capacity” became more and more apparent despite efforts by Democrats, entrenched Liberal bureaucrats, and their complicit media to hide it – they forced Biden to drop out in what some would consider a “soft coup“. They then elevated and coronated Vice President Kamala Davi Harris as their nominee, awarding her all of Biden’s delegates and “Defending Democracy!” by ignoring the choice of over 14 million Democrats who voted for Biden in the primaries.

However, Democrats still had a big problem:

Biden’s lack of support was not only due to his lack of mental acuity, but also due to over 3 years of failed economic, social, border, and foreign policies. And Kamala Harris worked at his side the entire time. A person selected for her gender and race, and claimed to be bad for the country as late as March 15, 2024. A person so smart and capable Joe Biden himselfeventually stated she could do everything he could do.

Even if Democrats (incorrectly) claim she shouldn’t inherit Biden’s failures Kamala still has many failures of her own, including failing to control America’s borders, failing the Bar Exam on her first try, sponsoring a bill to take people guns away despite her owning one, and sending over 1,500 people to prison for pot possession then admitted she smoked pot, among others.

So, how do Democrats sell Kamala Harris to the votes? “Unburden” her from Biden’s failures, promise free money to parents, new homeowners, and business startups, expand and create taxes on the rich, label Trump as an autocratic, avoid press conferences to avoid embarrassing questions, have her flip-flop more than circus acrobat, keep specific policy details to a minimum, and inspire people with talk about a young, bright future filled with “JOY!”.

Background: My poster was modified from a 1930′s poster released by Germany’s NSDAP Party as part of their “Kraft Durch Freude” (“Strength Through Joy”) program, designed to coordinate and control all aspects of German leisure time while indoctrinating Germans with official government propaganda. The original poster shows a proud, productive, happy family walking near their home. The author and date of release are unknown. Click the poster to enlarge it, or click here.
