Let’s Sing Along! “The Worst is Yet to Come”

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that with Biden as the leader of the United States inflation has risen to record levels, many of the things we took for granted are in short supply, violence has increased in our major cities, and Americans have lost faith in their government and the press?

And it looks like it’s going to get even worse as Biden’s “Build Back Better” – Biden’s contribution to building a “Liberal World Order” – continues.

All very distressing. So what to do? Why, let’s all sing along, because the Worse is Yet to Come!

“The Worst is Yet to Come.”

(with apologies to Cy Coleman and Carolyn Leigh, who wrote the original song)

From the election booth you selected a bum
Joe came along and now you’re all becoming glum
Still it’s a real good bet, the worst is yet to come

The worst is yet to come and it’s gonna be bad
You think you chose the best, but boy you’ve all been had

Our big collapse is underway
You’re getting full of regret
And wait till you see the price you’ll pay
You ain’t seen nothin’ yet

The worst is yet to come and it won’t be a joke
The worst is yet to come, come the day you’re broke

Come the day you’re broke
Joe’s gonna watch our wealth die
While he’s living just fine
He’s gonna drain our lives dry

Wait till his plans wipe out everything in the land
You think it’s tough before but you just don’t understand

A-wait till you don’t have heat or food
Living in constant fear
And wait till you’re in a desperate mood
In just about a year

The worst is yet to come and you’re gonna lose hope
The worst is yet to come, ‘cuz you elected a dope!

You elected a dope
And that isn’t a joke.

Bonus!
Watch the classic song “The Best is Yet to Come” with Frank Sinatra and the Count Basie Orchestra playing an arrangement by Quincy Jones.

Thanks for Reading!
