My (admittedly few) regular visitors know I’m a big Red Sox fan and have been for more years than I care to admit. Recently I purchased some tickets directly from the Red Sox, and received an invitation to fill out a brief Survey of my buying experience.
While the first question – “In What Year Were You Born?” – was probably designed to check if the person who bought the tickets was filling out the survey, it was this question which caught my eye…and, my ire:
Of course the correct answer here is ”I prefer not to say”. America’s sports pastime is not Politics, Social Advocacy, Activism, “Green Energy”, Equality, Socialism, or any other of a number of Liberal Progressive causes: It’s “Baseball“.
Partly because if baseball were any of those Liberal Progressive causes the MLB would have paid more attention to my post of May 7th, 2012 titled “If Liberals Ran Major League Baseball“. And, if if mixing social re-education with America’s Pastime is what the MLB wants to do then perhaps America’s Pastime is “past time“.
