I’m a Random Ramblin’ Man!

In our latest episode: Too much thinking.

  • When people ask me if the 2020 Election included “voter fraud”, was “stolen”, or had “improprieties” I simply tell them this: “You have to assume fraud, theft, or improper activity existed because the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. The only way we can address this is to make every step in the voting process as accurate and error-proof as possible.”

  • My horoscope today said I shouldn’t over analyze a love interest but instead put my thoughts down on paper. So…I’m thinking it isn’t that she’s found someone who’s more handsome, muscular, successful, emotional, virile, attentive and confident than me, it’s just that women are fickle. Gosh, I hope today’s over soon so I can stop analyzing ;-)

  • Recently I wondered what it would be like if the “Internet of Things” extended not just to almost every “thing” we use but also to human beings…an “Internet of People”, where humans are connected to the internet. I stopped wondering after I realized some people are already putting a lot of thought into this…and I’m not sure if it would be better for such people to be a lot smarter or dumber than we are.  I figure I’d better think about that.

So Wrong: A Cheeky CAPTCHA!

A large part of my job requires accessing a lot of online databases and websites, some of which use the CAPTCHA program – for Completely Automated Public Turing Test to tell Computers and Humans Apart – to make sure I’m a human.

So, imagine my surprise when the CAPTCHA used at the United States Patent & Trademark Office presented this test:

It’s the “First Amendment Advisory System”!

The horrific events of September 11, 2001, when radical Muslim terrorists used four hijacked commercial passenger aircraft in an attempt to destabilize our country, resulted in the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, and an “Advisory System” scale showing the expected “Terrorist Attack Threat Level“. The chart was retired in 2011.

Now, America is under a more pervasive, and perhaps more fundamental threat: The threats against our First Amendment right to speak freely, practice our religious beliefs, have a free press, assemble peacefully, and to petition the government to correct our grievances. During the past 12 years we’ve seen how a “free press” can be coerced by government promote their agenda, bias their reporting of a President to cast everything as unfavorable, and set up “Fact Checkers” who decide what is “Truth“.

So, after four years of America’s “free press” telling us what “truth” is I thought it was about time each of us could rate the “truthiness” of new the Press reports. And so I present the “First Amendment Advisory System”.

10,000,000 Wuhan Fans Can’t be Wrong

Way back in 1962 RCA Victor Records re-released an album of Elvis Presley’s Greatest Hits with the title “50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can’t be Wrong.” Rumor is the 50 million represented the number of fans who tuned into the Ed Sullivan Show in 1956 to watch him sing. The album (at left) had the immensely popular singer duplicated all over the cover, and why not? His music was literally infectious.

And, speaking of “infectious”, a medical paper published “way back” in November, 2020 – right after the 2020 Presidential Election – seems to indicate that 10,000,000 Wuhan City test subjects can’t be wrong (or is it “can’t be ‘Wong?)

Here’s the Study Paper:

Hank Aaron: One Strike, You’re Out?

Sorry for the sensational headline dear readers, but consider this:

January 5th, 2021:

Legendary baseball player, former home run leader, Hall-of-Famer, and civil rights activist Hank “Hammer” Aaron receives the COVID-19 vaccine at Morehouse School of Medicine, where he and his wife have been top donors, stating “Black folk have been living by shots.” and getting vaccinated “…”makes me feel wonderful…”.

January 7th, 2021:

“The CDC data also revealed 35 hospitalizations of those receiving COVID-19 vaccines. Summaries of their symptoms include heart palpitations, severe abdominal pain, seizures and ‘almost stroke-like symptoms.’”

January 22th, 2021:

Legendary baseball player, former home run leader, Hall-of-Famer, and civil rights activist Hank “Hammer” Aaron dies at 86 following a massive stroke.

It’s unknown if Hammerin’ Hank had received his required second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, which some – including Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and interim Chief Medical Advisor to the President – have reported includes more serious side effects.

Of course, this could all simply be coincidence. In any case, rest in peace Mr. Aaron: You were a credit to both the sport of Baseball and to the fight for Civil Rights in America.
