According to ZipRecruiter the average employee salary at Amazon as of April 19, 2022 is $48,345 a year, or $930 each week.
According to the news service Reuters, Amazon will pay a full-time employee with health insurance up to $4,000 in travel expenses to have a medical procedure if the procedure cannot be done virtually and is not available to them within 100 miles of their home.
According to Amazon, all full-time employees are eligible for Pregnancy and Parental Leave.
For Pregnancy Leave a Child-bearing Unit can get up to 4 weeks of paid leave prior to giving birth and up to 10 weeks paid leave after giving birth. They would collect 60% of their salary during their leave, and could, if they wanted, “ramp up” to working full-time at Amazon during the 8 weeks following the birth of their child.
For Parental Leave the non-Child-bearing Unit can receive six weeks of paid leave for the birth or adoption of a child, presumably with full pay.
Let’s do some math:
If an Amazon employee is pregnant and wants to get an abortion, but abortion is illegal in their State, Amazon will pay up to $4,000 to fly them to a State where abortion is legal.
If an Amazon employee is pregnant and wants their child, Amazon will pay up to 14 weeks of Pregnancy Leave, at 60% of the pregnant person’s salary. For an employee making the average salary of $930 per week, this would be $7,812.
Based on the average salary of an Amazon employee, Amazon saves at least $3,812 by helping a Child-Bearing Unit kill their unborn human fetus: They’ll save even more if the person doesn’t have to travel too far to have their abortion or if the person makes more than the average salary of $930 per week.
Created by Joe Biden, January 20, 2020
“Executive Order 13985:
“Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government”
“The White House Domestic Policy Council will coordinate efforts to embed equity principles, policies, and approaches across the Federal Government. This will include efforts to remove systemic barriers to and provide equal access to opportunities and benefits, identify communities the Federal Government has underserved, and develop policies designed to advance equity for those communities.” - Joe Biden
Remember, however, that every death causes pain and suffering to others, and this posting is not meant to diminish or ignore that truth. And I hope Joe Biden doesn’t forget this continuing failure while he’s trying fix his failures on the economy, foreign policy, energy, inflation, and border security.
“Disney is a guest in Florida. Today, we remind them.”
Florida State Rep. Randy Fine, sponsor of Florida Senate Bill 4-C
Florida’s Senate Bill 4C, signed by Governor DeSantis on Friday April 22, 2022, removes the ability of the Florida district where the California-based Walt Disney Company’s Disney World is located to run as their own government. Disney’s “Reedy Creek” district is one of six “Special Districts” to be eliminated by the Bill.
Designating Disney’s Reedy Creek district as a “Special District” provided Disney – and the other five non-Disney districts – tax breaks unavailable to any other district or company in Florida: Without their “Special District” status now all Florida districts and companies are treated equally. And, districts can re-apply for Special Status if they want.
For those who want to celebrate the occasion, what better way than to enjoy a nice piece of pie?
FYI: “It’s a Wonderful Day for Pie” is a musical number in Walt Disney animation style from the Emmy Award winning “Family Guy” episode “Road to the Multiverse“, directed by Greg Colton, James Purdum, and Peter Shin. The episode aired Sep 27, 2009 on the Fox Television network.
BTW: I’m not sure who John Ekdhal, Thought Leader is.
He might be this person:
Now that Barack Obama has spoken maybe Twitter will reinstate Mr. Ekdhal’s account.
Unless, of course, a person calling out disinformation is spreading disinformation against corporations who unilaterally decide what disinformation is, in which case maybe not.
