An Election Denier says Something I Actually Agree with

“[W]hat we have to understand is that there is no longer blue states and red states, there are authoritarian states and democracy states. There are states that do not believe in the right of the people to have a say, who want to aggregate power and foment corruption.”
- Stacy Abrams, female of color and two-time failed Democrat candidate for governor of Georgia

Believe it or not I agree with her statement, but not with her. Confused? Read on!

Stacy Abrams - Election Denier A graduate of the extremely liberal Yale University, and a lifelong member of the Democrat Party, Stacy Abrams served eleven years in the Georgia House of Representatives (seven as Minority Leader), was the first Black woman in United States history nominated for the governor’s seat, the first Black woman in US history to lose a gubernatorial election twice, and the first Black woman in US history who refused to admit she lost an election for governor.

Abrams has authored fourteen (14) books, including eight (8) political thrillers under the pen name Selena Montgomery, and others covering alleged voter suppression, attacks on Democracy, keys to success, and starting a small business.

While she’s a New York Times Bestselling Author, note that the New York Times is known to have a Left-Center Bias and some have criticized how the number of book sales are determined.

“There are states that do not believe in the right of the people to have a say,
who want to aggregate power and foment corruption.”

In the six New England States – Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont – there are 21 United States Congressional seats. Roughly 40% of all the legally-eligible voters in these states are registered Republicans. For New Hampshire, whose State Motto is “Live Free or Die”, it’s 48%.

All 21 of New England’s Congressmen are Democrats

How are the voices, wants, needs and desires of New England’s Republican voters heard, their best interests served, and injustices upon them prevented and remedied, when there are no voices to speak for them in the Congress?

The answer? They aren’t.

Republicans in New England have no say. They’re at the mercy of Democrats who would want to deny them a say via illegal immigration, disinformation, gerrymandering, fearmongering, voter fraud, motor-voter registration, same-day registration, mail-in ballots, censorship, legal challenges, and more. Democrats who want to aggregate power, engage in corruption, and foment disruptive, violent, and sometimes deadly protests to achieve it.

James Madison, one of the architects of the United States Government, was worried about this back in 1787, when wrote to his colleagues about how a Democracy allows a determined faction of immoral, self-interested people to oppress everyone else:

“When a majority is included in a faction, the form of popular government [a Democracy] …enables it to sacrifice to its ruling passion or interest, both the public good and the rights of other citizens…. [T]he majority, having such co-existent passion or interest, must be rendered, by their number and local situation, unable to concert and carry into effect schemes of oppression. If the impulse and the opportunity be suffered to coincide, we well know that neither moral nor religious motives can be relied on as an adequate control.”
- James Madison, The Federalist No. 10, November 22, 1787

“…there are authoritarian states and democracy states.”

Indeed. And after Democrats gain incontestable control of government democratically by “Defending Democracy!” sacrificing “the public good and the rights of other citizens” is a whole lot easier to do should they implement an Authoritarian State under the guise of knowing and doing what’s they determine is best for The People.

A situation which already may exist in the State of Connecticut, where the Democrats control the offices of Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, and both chambers of the State Legislature for the past 15 years. Connecticut’s Republican Party hasn’t had this level of government control since 1986 – forty years ago.

And that’s why I agree with Stacy Abrams, two-time failed candidate for governor and vehement Election Denier, but not for the same reasons: Her comment appears to be the result of her failed political campaigns, and perhaps to keep herself relevant, her supporters energized, and the Democrat Party powerful. I agree with her comment because I fear the Democrats in New England are the very majority faction James Madison warned us about almost 240 years ago.
