It’s Memeory Time for the Labor Daze!

If you want to skip my editorial introduction and

Man, it's time to relax in the hammock!Today we celebrate “Labor Day“, a national holiday proposed by union activists in 1892 and signed into law by Democrat President Grover Cleveland in 1894. Through the years our celebration has evolved from parades of proud union workers to a day of leisure involving backyards, beaches, barbeques, and booze. And I’ll leisurely participate, rest assured.

Naturally, before I said “Yes” to BBQ excess I did manage to labor just long enough to create a buffet of Memeories for you to savor. Bon appetite!

Unlike other websites who compile and publish memes created by other people in order to drive traffic add a touch of humor to their site I create almost all the memes I publish and only occasionally publish a meme from someone else. Note: Copyright is claimed on all content I’ve created and not otherwise covered by any third party. You can copy and republish any image but you can’t sell it, can’t modify my website link or logo on the image, and must include attribution.

Two Failures: Hillary Clinton and Hurricane Hilary.

Labor Day marks the unofficial end of Summer, so almost everyone wants to celebrate it outside in warm, sunny comfort. Perhaps the best way to guarantee good weather might be to name all potential tropical storms and hurricanes “Hillary“.

Climate Terrorists block traffic at Nevada's 2023 Burning Man event.

The popular phrase “pics or it didn’t happen” sure does apply on Labor Day: Otherwise, no one will believe your bragging about the size of the traffic jam, how much booze you drank, the fantastic crush you bonged, those hot chicks making out, that luscious babe you picked up, or how Uncle LEO harshed your mellow. FYI: The photo shows what happens when Nevada police decided they’d had enough of Climate Change Eco-terrorists blocking the only road to Burning Man 2023 and creating a 10-mile traffic jam. Watch the video to hear the terrorists ask if one of them got it all on video.

Meme of the Moment: Biden Builds Back Maui Better!

“We’re going to rebuild the way the people of Maui want to rebuild.”
- Joe Biden, Lahaina, Hawaii, August 21, 2023

Of course a statement like that desperately calls for a meme.

Biden's Building Back Maui Better - Let's build his mansion!
(click to enlarge image in a new window)

BTW: When Biden speaks of “the people of Maui” does he mean all residents on that tropical island – the “Haves and Have Nots“, or is he only referring to the rich elites like Jeff Bezos, Clint Eastwood, Mic Fleetwood, Kelsey Grammer, Sammy Hagar, Woody Harrelson, Willie Nelson, Helen Hunt, Paul Simon, Randy Travis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Tyler, Owen Wilson, Oprah Winfrey (who owns 2,000 acres of land there which some Hawaiians call “stolen“), and others?

Could “Climate Change” provide a convenient excuse for transforming Maui into the “Martha’s Vineyard of the Pacific” – a beautiful, beachfront, isolated enclave for rich and powerful elites? Just a thought.

Some “Dad Jokes” for all you Folks

Dad sure is proud of his "Dad Jokes"!Humor can be a funny thing (for example, what I just wrote). Almost anything our senses perceive can be “funny” and yet not everyone may find the same thing humorous (which may itself be funny). Humor comes in many forms but its’ desired result, knowingly or not, is always the same: Amusement.

Apparently, one form of humor is the “Dad Joke”: A short joke told by your Dad that you find embarrassingly lame. It’s usually one or two lines and ends by substituting a word or phrase you expected with a synonym or homonym intended to create humor.

Personally, I think “Dad Jokes” place too much blame on dad: Stand up comedy probably began a couple days after the emergence of Homo Erectus, graffiti has existed longer than the city of Pompeii’s ruins, and memes are as old as Ancient Greece. Besides, not everyone who tells a facepalm-inducing joke is a dad.
“Dad” or not, many of these lame jokes have potential as badly-drawn graffiti, captions for equally-lame memes or failed stand-up comedy. Enjoy!

Know Your “Election Deniers”!

Did you know?
President Donald J. Trump wasn’t the first political candidate in US politics to deny they lost an election because they believed the election was corrupt: The honor goes to back to the presidential election of 1876 where Democrat Samuel L. Tilden campaigned against Republican Rutherford B. Hayes (more about that later on).

As President Donald J. Trump – a so-called “Election Denier” – prepares to defend himself in Washington, D.C. and Atlanta Georgia against charges he “obstructed” the 2020 Presidential Election by engaging in “conspiracies against civil rights” here’s a handy chart summarizing America’s History of Election Deniers:

America’s “Election Deniers” – A Short Summary
